Yes, Take Four, not Five or Six! Barbershop at its best. These four excellent musicians are also such nice guys, and they came to Altenholz, near Kiel, to take part in my choral workshops there. I was really very impressed by their professionalism and their willingness to try new things, especially a non-Barbershop sound that we worked on and which they demonstrated at the final concert - it would have outclassed many close harmony groups that specialise in this kind of approach, and then they flipped easily back into Barbershop mode...Brilliant!

When you take four men with a passion for singing a cappella music and entertaining audiences everywhere they go, you get Take Four. These four accomplished musicians are an absolute pleasure to enjoy as an audience, but for me, it has been even more rewarding to coach them. Getting to know them personally and see their determination to strive for musical excellence is a joy. I have been privileged to coach various barbershop choruses and quartets throughout Germany, and TAKE FOUR holds a very special place in those cherished relationships. In addition to being accomplished performers, they are wonderful ambassadors of Barbershop in Germany (BinG!) and represent it's growing influence and legitimacy in the a cappella world. While TAKE FOUR is known most for their ability to entertain crowds with an exciting and varied repertoire over 30 years, what I enjoy most is their ability to take risks and boldly step 'out of the box' to do things that have never been done before, even if it's for a good laugh.
